Well… It’s Official!
As some of you may know, in addition to being a developer, I’m also a writer. A writer who uses Scrivener.
Unfortunately, at this time, Scrivener is not available for iOS. That’s where I come in — I’ll be working with the folks over at Literature and Latte as their iOS Developer (in a freelance capacity). You can read more about that over here.
Now, before you get all…
“Wait? What? I thought you loved Nickelfish”
… let me explain.
First and foremost, I’m not leaving Nickelfish, and my level of commitment to them will also not change. They are a great company, and I have no plans to leave them anytime soon.
The truth is… working with L&L is somewhat of a personal adventure. You see, I’ve been using Scrivener for more than one year now, and I can’t see myself using anything else – except maybe the iOS version!
Ah, the iOS version. I love you.
Like many other Scrivener users, I can (and do) use alternate editors on my iOS devices. But, it’s not the same. It’s not Scrivener. If you’re like me… you are patiently waiting for it to arrive!
Did You Say Freelance?
Yes. Freelance. That means I still have other commitments, like my family (they always come first) and Nickelfish (my full-time job), so I can only commit to a certain amount of time for L&L.
It also means long hours and less attention to some of my other projects.
However, it is my promise to you – and to myself – that I will devote any of my “free-time” to L&L. At least in the beginning.
You see… we have a common goal: to have something in our hands for NaNoWriMo this year!
How Can We Contact You?
My name on the L&L forums is paradox927. I’ll hang out there from time to time.
You can also follow me on Twitter: @Paradox927.
Just an FYI: I may not always respond right away, but I will make every attempt to reach out to you, if you ask.
Onward an Upward
I’d like to say thank you to the folks over at Literature and Latte for having faith in me.
And, to the Scrivener users, thank you for your continued patience while we get this show back on the road.
By the way… Did everyone remember to go potty before we left? If not… too bad! I’m not stoppin’ until we get there. And, if you ask me, Are we there yet?, my kids have conditioned me to answer with: Almost.
Take care! And, happy writing!!! See you in November!
Oh, if you’re interested, here’s a review I wrote about Scrivener not too long ago. Hope you enjoy!
